The Exumas stretch through some of the clearest and most recognizable water in the Bahamas. A private yacht gives you access to secluded anchorages, shifting sandbars, reefs and small cays that cannot be experienced in the same way from a resort.
Highbourne Cay, the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, Warderick Wells and Staniel Cay can form part of a charter, but the route should remain flexible. Draft, weather, sea conditions and the yacht’s cruising range all influence the best itinerary. For many seven-night charters, choosing the right embarkation point is just as important as choosing the yacht, especially when deciding between Nassau and a more direct start farther into the Exumas.
